Refund policy
Effective date: Sept 2025
At Carp Landscape Depot, we genuinely care about customer satisfaction and we’ll always do our best to help if something isn’t right. Because we sell bulk and natural landscaping materials (aggregates, soils, mulches, etc.), there are practical limits on returns once materials have been delivered or unloaded. Please review the details below before placing your order.
1) Bulk Materials: Final Sale After Unloading
For health, safety, and quality reasons, bulk materials become final sale once they have been delivered and unloaded, as we can’t resell or reprocess them after drop-off.
This includes bulk:
- aggregates (gravel, stone, screenings, etc.)
- mulch and soil
- any material that has been unloaded, spread, mixed, or used
2) Cancelling an Order (Before Dispatch)
If your plans change, we’re happy to help. You may request a cancellation as long as your order has not yet been prepared, loaded, or dispatched.
Processing fee on cancellations:
All order cancellations requested after purchase are subject to a non-refundable processing fee of 2.8% of the order total + $0.30 CAD. This fee covers payment provider transaction costs that are not returned to us when an order is cancelled.
To cancel, contact us as soon as possible at carplandscapedepot@gmail.com.
If your order is scheduled for delivery, we recommend reaching out at least 24 hours in advance, when possible.
3) If You Need to Refuse Delivery
If you notice an issue before unloading begins, you can refuse delivery at that time.
- Once unloading starts, the order is considered accepted and can’t be returned.
- If a truck has already been dispatched, any approved refund may be adjusted to reflect delivery/handling costs already incurred (for example: delivery fees and loading/handling), in addition to the cancellation processing fee noted above (where applicable).
4) If We Made a Mistake (Wrong Product, Shortage, or Damage)
If we supplied the wrong product, there’s a significant shortage, or bagged goods arrive damaged, please let us know and we’ll make it right.
To help us resolve it quickly:
- Contact us within 24 hours of delivery
- Include your order number and clear photos
- Please don’t spread or use the material until we’ve reviewed the issue
Depending on the situation, we may offer:
- a replacement,
- store credit, or
- a refund for the affected portion.
5) Natural Variation (Color / Texture / Moisture)
Our materials are natural and can vary by batch and season. Differences in color, moisture level, and stone size/texture are normal and are not considered defects.
If you’d like, we can often help by recommending the best product match before you order.
6) Delivery Access & Rescheduling
Please ensure the delivery location is accessible and safe for unloading. If delivery can’t be completed due to access or site conditions, we may need to reschedule and additional fees may apply.
7) Refund Timing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, minus any applicable non-refundable fees noted above. Please allow 3–10 business days depending on your provider.
